The WSOP Online 2026 kicks off today, and the numbers speak for themselves: 33 World Series bracelets on the line over six weeks, headlined by a Main Event with $25 million guaranteed. Last year's edition paid out more than $354 million. This is the biggest block of online tournaments on the calendar, full stop.
The facts
The series runs from August 16 through September 29. The crown jewel is the $5,000 Main Event and its $25 million guarantee: 19 Day 1 flights start today, with everything decided on Day 2, September 21. In 2025 the event drew 5,961 entries, paid out over $28.3 million, and its champion banked nearly $3.9 million.
The schedule has a door for every profile: the $500 Mini Main Event guarantees $5 million, the $1,500 Millionaire Maker locks in at least $1 million for its winner, and the $10,000 GGMillion$ guarantees $10 million — where the defending champion is Brazil's Rodrigo Selouan, who outlasted 1,483 opponents for a payday north of $2 million last year. Latin America isn't visiting this series; it's defending a title.
There are wrinkles worth knowing, too: every bracelet winner earns a $30,000 pass to the WSOP Paradise Super Main Event in December, and the top ten countries on the series leaderboard unlock exclusive freerolls for their players.
Why it matters
A six-week series is a marathon, not a sprint. The classic recreational mistake is firing at everything from day one and limping into the final stretch — where the biggest events live — with no bankroll and no energy left. Before you register for anything, decide how many buy-ins the series gets in total: your bankroll management determines how long your series lasts, not your latest result.
Keep an eye on those country freerolls as well. A well-played freeroll is the best gym in poker — real bubble, real pressure, zero risk to your roll. And if massive low buy-in fields are your lane, remember the rake weighs proportionally more down there, so factor it into the plan.
