The flagship event drew 232 entries at R$4,000 and played out over three days at the Gran Marquise Hotel, home of the season's fourth stop, which ran from August 13 to 18. The finale was a war of attrition: the final table featured established names from the Brazilian circuit such as Jarbas Platini, Marcelo Gadelha, Claudio Piedrabuena and Wildmmer "Kito" de Matos, and stretched past the eight-hour mark before Caiaffa sealed the title heads-up.
He wasn't the only one celebrating late in the series: Ricardo Andrade shipped the 8-Max at his fourth final table of the week, completing a double title run at the same stop — a snapshot of how deep the competition ran in Fortaleza this year.
