The cheapest event on the schedule turned out to be, by field size, the hardest one to conquer.

The Gladiators was the series' big volume play: low buy-in, huge guarantee, multiple entry flights. The response beat every projection, clearing the guarantee by almost $700,000. The final day kicked off Monday, with $470,672 waiting for the winner along with the gold bracelet and a $30,000 package to the WSOP Paradise Super Main Event.
The series is off to a fast start. It opened Sunday with the first bracelet going to Brazil, and 33 bracelets are on the line through September 29 — anchored by a $25 million guaranteed Main Event on September 21.
